From Loss and Grief to a College Diploma and a Dreams of a Master's
Vasyl T. was born on September 17, 2004, in Berezanka, Odesa region, Ukraine. He never knew his biological father. In 2011, he started first grade at a private school called "Intellect," and in 2017, moved with his family to the village of Krasosilka.
How a Ukrainian Orphan Used Faith, Perseverance, and UAC Support to Build His Future
In 2019, Vasyl's stepfather — the only father figure he had ever known — passed away. The loss was devastating. Within months, his mother followed. At fifteen years old, Vasyl was an orphan. Through the child welfare services, he was placed with a devout Christian guardian family who opened their home and their hearts to him.
Despite everything, Vasyl kept moving forward. In 2021, he entered the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi Professional College of Nature Management, Construction and Computer Technologies, enrolling in the agronomy program.
For all four years of study, he received a scholarship sponsored through the UAC organization — support that made his education possible.
In 2025, Vasyl successfully completed his fourth year and graduated with a diploma in agronomy. That same year, he took the next step he had always dreamed of — he enrolled in the master's program at Odesa Agrarian University.
Vasyl is applying to rejoin the UAC student support program as he begins this new chapter. He is deeply grateful for the support he has already received, and he makes a sincere promise: to follow every requirement of the organization, to study well, and to conduct himself with integrity.
