Orphans in Ukraine need help today

My name is Baklanov Denis, I am 16 years old. I am a refugee from the city of Lugansk, I moved to Odessa in 2014. Until that time, I studied there until the 2nd grade. I had many friends, but I was forced to leave because of the war for the further well-being of my family.

I study at the Odessa Professional Lyceum of Maritime Transport, my future profession is Electrician gas welder and hand forged blacksmith. I’m on the 1st course and because I study hard, I got a social scholarship. Since there is a quarantine in our city, I study part of the time remotely.

In my spare time I ride a bmx bike. I can do a lot of BMX tricks, and have already competed 3 times. I like to spend time with my family and help my mother with household chores and with my sister.

My life is filled with positive emotions and events. I am sincerely grateful for the support in my studies and my family. This is a great help for us.
