We are an organization that helps orphans in Ukraine

Hello! My name is Tatiana. I was born on Feb 23, 1995, in the city of Lisichansk in the Lugansk region.

I lost both of my parents before I turned six years old. After my mom died, I was taken from a regular school to the orphanage school in the city of Lugansk. I was institutionalized for nine years.

After, I graduated from school and entered a sewing trade school, which is also in Lugansk where I studied for two and half years. When the wars impact expanded to Lugansk, I had to move to Balta.

Because of the war, we stopped receiving our stipends and it life became very difficult. I studied in Balta for two and half years. It was also difficult in Balta without means of living, without a normal place to live, and even with limited access to hygiene products.

We were food rations, but it wasnt enough for even a student to live on. After much consideration, I decided to move to Odessa to continue my education. I am now studying in a trade school a seamstress. Life is a little bit easier nowadays because there are more job prospects in Odessa.

In first heard about Universal Aid for Children Ukraine (UAC from my friend. He told me that the program really helps him. He also told me that the people who run the program are good, kind people who'd never abandon you and who help you make a life for yourself.

It was then that I decided to write to reach out to UAC. I would really like to be helpful to people, finish my trade school, and find a paying job. Things have been truly difficult for me for a long time, both emotionally and physically. That said, I dont want to throw up my hands and get upset, so I need to live through it.

I currently live in a dormitory. I really like that it is quiet in Odessa and there are no bullets flying overhead.

I often go to the beach and dream that there would always be peace and happiness everywhere and for everyone.

The sea calms me. I really love to dance. I am really looking forward being a part of the program and meeting good, kind people. Warmly, Tatiana
