Ukrainian orphanages and boarding schools
There are several reasons why Ukrainian society does not provide adequate care for orphans. One reason is that the government does not allocate enough funds to support them. Another reason is that some parents prefer to raise their children themselves rather than place them in an institution.
The lack of funding is particularly problematic because many of the institutions do not have the resources to meet all of the needs of the children they take in.
In addition to inadequate funding, there are problems with overpopulation in many of the orphanages. Some orphanages are so crowded that they cannot even accommodate all of the children who need a home.
The situation is especially difficult when it comes to providing medical care for the children. Many of the orphanages do not have the facilities needed to treat serious illnesses.
There is also a shortage of foster homes. Foster parents must be trained and certified before taking on a child. It can cost thousands of dollars to get training, which most people simply cannot afford. As a result, many children end up staying in orphanages longer than necessary.

Another major problem is that many of the orphanages are poorly managed. They may not have sufficient staff to keep track of the children in their care. They may also fail to comply with legal requirements regarding health inspections. These issues lead to further difficulties for the children in the institutions.
