Education for Ukrainian orphans with UAC scholarship program
Amid the chaos of a full-scale Russian invasion, the plight of Ukrainian civilians, especially children, became a heartbreaking story. In July 2024, we celebrated our graduates who were able to overcome life's challenges thanks to the UAC scholarship program and our caring sponsors.
This year, more than 6 determined graduates flourished through the program, reaffirming the organization's commitment to helping Ukraine's future. Young people like Victoria and Vasiliy, whose life stories reflect loss and hardship, witnessed the transformative power of education. Mikhail, Arthur, and Artem are shining examples of perseverance and potential, children who have gone through many hardships along the way, they never gave up, thanks to UAC, the teenagers saw that this world is not hopeless and there are many kind and compassionate people in the world.

Letters from new students of UAC 2024
Dear Klara, Iryna A., UAC team and sponsors.
My name is Pasha S., I am 18 years old. Born in the city of Makiivka, Donetsk region, on July 11, 2006. I am very grateful to you for helping me and participating in my life, my wonderful sponsors, Linda and Larry, during my 3 years of college.
Now I entered the university. I really need your help. My family is small, my mother is disabled of the 2nd group and my older brother. Dad left the family before I was born. Ever since I was a child, I went to church and always invited my mother with me, now we go to church together. At the age of 6, I went to first grade. When I finished the 2nd grade, the war started.
In our city, explosions began and deaths appeared. The airport and railway station were destroyed in Donetsk. It was scary to be in such conditions. My mother, as a disabled person, was offered to evacuate to the city of Odesa, the road there was not easy, because of the shelling we had to change the direction of the journey and sometimes change to other buses. We were settled in a sanatorium in Serhiivka, where I went to the 3rd grade and studied there for about 2 years.
Then we were offered to move to a social hostel for refugees in Odesa, and we moved again. We were accommodated in a social assistance center, where we live to this day. Already here, I graduated from the 5th to the 9th grade of school number 23, and after the 9th grade, I entered the college of the State Educational Institution of the Odesa Center for Vocational and Technical Education, majoring in information processing and software engineering. During this period, I was interested in paintings by numbers and I painted them a little.
I studied there for three years, passed the NMT and decided to continue my studies and applied to the National Odessa Polytechnic University for specialization 174 automation, computer-integrated technologies and robotics.
