August 24 Ukraine's Independence Day Filled with Caring
On this special day, Ukraine's Independence Day, UAC together with Rotary organized an important event to distribute food baskets and school supplies to needy families and refugees. This event was part of the Rotary Ukraine War/Disaster Relief Project to help those affected by war.
The deep significance of this day, when Ukraine celebrates its freedom and independence, has taken on a special poignancy in light of the war. It is on this day, when we remember the strength of spirit of the Ukrainian people, their aspiration for freedom and peaceful life, that we felt a particularly deep responsibility for every person who needs support.
The action of distributing food baskets and school supplies became a symbol of solidarity and care for those who found themselves in a difficult situation. In every food basket, in every school backpack given to families in need, there was hope for a better future.
We saw the grateful eyes of children who were happy to receive gifts, heard words of gratitude from parents who need so much support in these difficult times. We want to extend a special thank you to Rotary Club for their unflagging support and cooperation. Thanks to your belief in our mission and your willingness to lend a helping hand, we can continue to help children who need our help the most.
UAC is not just an organization, it is a big family that is united by a common goal - to help children, to create better conditions for them to live and develop. Bogdan, Hike in Switzerland to support orphans
Bohdan, a talented and motivated student and participant in the UAC Student Program, is planning a 10-day hike from Zurich to Lausanne, starting on August 24. This is not just a trip, but a charitable initiative.
Bogdan, who himself has experienced the hardships of war, decided to use his strength and determination to help other children who find themselves in a similar situation. For him, the trek is not just a physical challenge, but an opportunity to do something important, something that can make a difference in the lives of these children.
Bogdan's goal is to raise $5000 to create a new computer lab at the orphanage that will help the children access education, develop their talents, and face the future with confidence. A computer lab is not just a set of technology, it is a window into a world of knowledge, opportunity and creativity.

UAC Student Success New Horizons and Bright Hopes
August brought good news - six students successfully graduated from the UAC program, gaining valuable knowledge and skills that will help them build their future lives. We are proud of our mentees' accomplishments and look forward to their successes in the future! We also welcomed new students to our family :
Mikhail, a 17-year-old Luhansk resident, is not broken by war and personal tragedies. He is determined to realize his dream - to become a naval chef. Now Mikhail is studying at the Odessa Lyceum of Maritime Transport, but he needs financial support to complete his studies.
