Children's Art Speaks of Peace
In a world often marred by conflict and strife, art has the unique ability to transcend boundaries, promoting understanding and sustainability. The Art of Peace Project serves as a powerful testament to this notion.
This art competition, designed for children ages 6 to 18, showcases the extraordinary talents of young artists around the world. The participants, many of whom are in the most difficult circumstances - orphans, children with disabilities and young refugees.
The Peace Arts Project is more than just an art competition; it is a movement that seeks to elevate the voices of young creators and foster dialogue around peace and sustainability. By bringing together these diverse artists, the initiative not only honors their talent, but also highlights the importance of supporting youth in overcoming adversity.

As we honor their work and resilience, it is crucial to recognize and support initiatives like Art of Peace that give young voices the platform they deserve. By doing so, we are nurturing a generation of artists who dream not only of a better future for themselves, but also of a world that embraces peace and understanding.
Each piece of work created by the children contained a story - a narrative that spoke eloquently about their experiences and aspirations. In this small corner of Odessa, creativity became a lifeline, enabling these children to bridge the gap between harsh reality and hopeful dreams.

From Odessa to Maryland: A Journey of Art
When the work of young Ukrainian artists came to the United States, it caught the attention of renowned artist and jury member Patricia de Puel Wilberg. She quickly recognized the deep talent and vivid emotion in each work, celebrating creativity that thrived under difficult circumstances.
The initiative, organized in partnership with the Rockville Rotary Club, sought not only to showcase the work of these young creative individuals, but also to provide them with recognition and support.
From the many entries, thirty-eight outstanding works were selected for their exceptional creativity, receiving awards and certificates that recognized the dedication and skill of their creators.
Rockville Rotary Club played a significant role in ensuring that these honors were bestowed upon deserving young artists in Ukraine, confirming that their voices were heard and appreciated around the world. In recognition of their achievements, a memorable award ceremony was held in Odessa on September 21. The event was a celebration of perseverance and hope, where each child received not only medals, but also heartfelt handwritten letters of support from students from Maryland. These letters served as a reminder of the bonds formed through the arts, strengthening the sense of community despite the distance.
To further mark this special occasion, each artist was presented with T-shirts bearing the logo of the International Day of Peace event scheduled for 2025, symbolizing a shared commitment to fostering unity and mutual understanding through creativity. In addition, specially printed calendars showcasing their work were distributed, allowing the beauty and messages of these young people to shine through.
The calendars, which are now also being produced in the United States, offer a unique opportunity for a wider audience to appreciate the artistic talent of these children, providing them with a platform to express their experiences and dreams.
