Meet Artem — a bright and resilient young man from Ukraine who is finishing his school year with determination, even as war shapes the rhythm of his everyday life. Summer has arrived, but for Artem, it sounds different — the rumble of thunder sometimes blends with the distant sound of explosions, leaving him uncertain which it is.
Despite this, Artem stays grounded. He plays football with friends, works through puzzle after puzzle, and finds small moments of joy that keep his spirit alive. The sea — once a place of summer freedom — is now off-limits due to the risk of mines along the shore.
Yet Artem doesn't dwell on what he can't do. He focuses on what he can.Artem is a participant in the UAC Scholarship Program and is deeply grateful for the support he receives.
